The FestPlugin package is exclusively meant to be a module since it precisely enable the plugin feature. FranFest and EcaScheme were modules at the beginning but it is accurate to provide a plugin version of them as well. Anyway the engine remain the same in both cases and the module/plugin compilation should rely on a standardised wrapper.

At the moement there are only small adaptations that are not fully functional.

Each configure of these modules provide a –with-plugin and a –with-module option that can be set to yes or no simultaneously or separately.
